Summary: The Procurement Manager role involves leading a small procurement team to provide comprehensive procurement support within a complex business environment. This is a 4-month hybrid contract based in Hemel Hempstead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a small procurement team
- Develop and implement procurement strategy and ways of working
- Manage supplier sourcing, tendering and appointment processes
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to deliver value and savings
- Use spend and supplier data to identify optimisation and consolidation opportunities
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, controls and governance
- Assess and manage supplier and procurement risk
- Build and maintain strong, productive supplier relationships
- Provide regular reporting and updates to senior stakeholders
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in procurement at a management level
- Proven track record of complex commercial and contract negotiations
- Solid knowledge of procurement processes from sourcing through to supplier management
- Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence and challenge at senior levels

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager, for our consultancy client, to lead a small procurement team and provide end-to-end procurement support to a large, complex business environment.
The roleYou will be responsible for delivering procurement ownership across a wide range of products and services. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will help shape procurement strategy, manage supplier relationships, and drive commercial value through effective sourcing, negotiation and contract management.
This role requires someone confident operating at senior level, able to challenge the business constructively and ensure procurement best practice is Embedded across supplier engagements.
