Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of supply chain management data and procurement reports for the Senior Leadership Team.
- Provide assurance support to the BAM UK & Ireland Tender Desk function.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Promote and support Category Management and compliance through framework agreements.
- Support business initiatives including DFMA and utilize digital technologies for efficiency.
- Ensure procurement function engagement at every project lifecycle stage.
- Lead Supplier Engagement as part of the up-scaling strategy.
- Conduct effective communications at all organizational levels.
- Ensure effective negotiations with the Supply Chain.
- Develop Procurement Strategies and Plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Degree level education in Commercial, Business, or Engineering related discipline.
- Preferably MCIPS Qualified or equivalent.
- Competent with main forms of contract including NEC4.
- Excellent numeracy skills and proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Jaggaer, Constructionline, and SAP including SAP Materials Management.
- Understanding of sub-contract procurement processes.
- Proven ability to lead whole life cycle procurement activities for major infrastructure frameworks.
- Experienced in developing Procurement Strategies and Plans.

Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM Infrastructure are currently involved in a major nuclear new build project in the South West (Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater in Somerset), delivering reinforced concrete structures, roads and complex multi-network installations. Due to a growing workload, we are now requiring a Procurement Manager to join our team in Bridgwater. As Hinkley Point C is a nuclear licensed site, additional security checks will need to be made – BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding right to work in the UK can be considered for this role.

Your mission Preparation of supply chain management data and procurement reports for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team including carbon intensity reporting in the supply chain. Provide assurance support to the BAM UK & Ireland Tender Desk function Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build and maintain relationships. A natural comfort in working in a collaborative manner and a desire to seek opportunities to develop synergies across our business A good awareness of supply chain vendors, for both subcontract and materials procurement including through international sourcing opportunities Promote and support Category Management and drive compliance through better use of framework agreements and preferred suppliers including seeking appropriate opportunities through regional and SME supply chain networks. Support and enhance business initiatives including DFMA and utilise digital technologies within the supply chain to improve efficiency and productivity. Ensure the procurement function is engaged and accountable at every stage of the project lifecycle Ensure the supply chain works collaboratively to help deliver the requirements of the Sustainability Strategy Expertise in supply chain resource capacity analysis to support demand planning Ensure financial resilience and health checks are undertaken within the supply chain throughout the procurement process Lead the Supplier Engagement within the region as part of the up-scaling strategy to deliver the portfolio Promote a standardised Divisional approach to the procurement process Ability to conduct effective communications at all levels within the business The ability to build, maintain and influence relationships at all levels of the organisation with ease Ensure effective negotiations are conducted with the Supply Chain Embraces collaborative working and has a desire to seek opportunities to develop synergies across the Division.
Who are we looking for? Educated to a degree level in a Commercial, Business or Engineering related discipline Preferably MCIPS Qualified or equivalent Competent with all main forms of contract including NEC4 Excellent numeracy skills. Competent using Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Competent in the use Jaggaer, Constructionline and SAP including SAP Materials Management Experience and understanding of sub-contract procurement processes Proven ability to lead whole life cycle procurement activities for major infrastructure frameworks including civils works, building construction and mechanical and electrical related scope Experienced in developing Procurement Strategies and Procurement Plans in collaboration with key stakeholders.
