Summary: The role of Procurement Manager involves managing procurement activities for a major central Government client within a leading Facilities Management company. The position requires extensive experience in procurement, particularly in strategic sourcing and supplier management, with a focus on compliance and contract management. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and operational requirements. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Surrey, requiring three days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement robust contracting to ensure full and compliant contracts are in place for identified suppliers.
  • Work closely with Operational Teams to align Scope of works with technical competence and client expectations.
  • Lead the completion of necessary flow downs for suppliers, ensuring compliance and assurance requirements are met.
  • Act as the link between Supply Chain, Procurement Business Partner, Legal, and wider stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure all supplier assurance requirements and contractual governance are maintained.
  • Drive Contract Management & Risk Mitigation to minimize operational, contractual, and financial exposure.
  • Demonstrate efficient workload management and the ability to work at pace.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive and proven experience in Procurement (typically 5+ years).
  • Knowledge of FM or Construction categories preferred, but other Indirects considered.
  • Experience in negotiating and drafting contract clauses.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrable contracting experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong change management capability with demonstrable results.
  • Supplier Relationship Management experience.
  • Knowledge of Public Sector is an advantage.
  • Degree educational background preferred; CIPS certification is preferable.

Salary (Rate): £65,000.00
