Summary: The Procurement Governance and Systems Officer will support the Procurement Governance and Systems Manager in managing the Purchasing Cards and eTendering System for a local authority in Bournemouth. The role involves liaising with cardholders, administering accounts, providing training, and addressing any instances of misuse. The position is office-based with an initial six-month contract that may extend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Procurement Governance and Systems Manager in administering the Purchasing Cards & Purchasing Card System and eTendering System.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Purchasing Card requests and queries via email, MS Teams, and telephone.
  • Administer all related Purchasing Card accounts, including setup, closing, limit increases, and maintenance.
  • Provide training and advice to Cardholders and Line Managers as per procedures.
  • Report suspected misuse or fraud to the Procurement Governance and Systems Manager.
  • Problem-solve and make recommendations regarding complex decisions.
  • Process weekly Transfer and Leaver files from HR.
