Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase requisition through to PO process and understand associated financial delegations.
  • Oversee supplier payment terms and ensure correct setup in systems.
  • Manage approved supplier database and review alternative supplier options.
  • Handle recharges for tenants and manage consultancy contracts and monthly invoicing.
  • Coordinate car hires, flights, and hotels.
  • Support external audit with knowledge of leases.
  • Assist in ISO audits and provide walk-throughs when required.
  • Manage the tendering process and purchasing policy.
  • On-board new suppliers and ensure completion of supplier questionnaires.
  • Resolve any disputes and ensure suppliers have appropriate insurance before on-boarding.

Robert Half is recruiting a Purchasing and Procurement Assistant for our client in Hertfordshire , for an interim period of 3 months initially. The position of Purchasing and Procurement Assistant will be focused on the following skills and experience; Manage Purchase requisition through to PO process and understand the associated financial delegations. Experienced in purchasing / procurement, being able to hit the ground running Manage suppliers payment terms - ensure they are set up correctly in the systems Manage approved supplier database & review alternative supplier options where appropriate Manage recharges for Tenants Manage consultancy contracts and monthly invoicing. Manage Car hires, flights and hotels. Have a knowledge of leases to support external audit. Experience in ISO audits and be able to support and provide walk-through when required. Experiences in managing tendering process Manage purchasing policy / on-boarding of new suppliers / ensure supplier questionnaires are completed / resolving any disputes Ensure suppliers have the appropriate insurance in place before on-boarding. The position of Purchasing and Procurement Assistant will be hired on a hybrid working basis ( 2 days onsite ) and will be paying circa 40k on an hourly rate basis.
