Summary: The Contracts Manager role at BAE Systems involves managing procurement packages for Raw Materials and Commodities within the Type 26 programme. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and contract changes.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and high-quality standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and resolve supplier disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of contract management in a Supply Chain environment in defence or similar industry e.g. automotive, aerospace.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Contract Management best practice.
  • Working knowledge of the legal environment related to purchasing contracts and framework agreements.
  • Strong contract negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Financial acumen and risk management expertise.
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent preferred.
