Key Responsibilities:
- Finalise and manage the Council's ERP supplier contract, including negotiations, drafting, and refining contract documents.
- Ensure full compliance with CCS framework rules.
- Lead end-to-end contracting activities with the chosen supplier, from the announcement of the procurement outcome to contract signature.
- Work closely with Corporate Procurement Unit (CPU) and other departments to ensure alignment with organisational standards and policies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate core agreements, schedules, SOWs, SLA/OLA, pricing annexes, and change control clauses.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks and issues.
- Establish contract governance, change control processes, invoicing procedures, and performance reporting cadence.
- Mobilise contracts with suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Validate pricing models, payment milestones, and exit provisions.
- Advise and support the ERP Programme Board on all contractual and procurement matters.
- Oversee supplier performance against SLAs and change control provisions.
- Provide support to CPU in the decommissioning of existing system contracts.
- Provide commercial oversight during implementation, reviewing change requests, managing contract variations, and enforcing SLAs.
- Monitor contract performance against KPIs and deliver periodic compliance performance reports.
- Act as a key point of contact for suppliers on contractual issues.
- Conduct regular supplier service review meetings and service improvement meetings.
- Coordinate contract close-out activities.
- Manage contract renewals and recurring payments to suppliers.
Key Skills:
- Desirable: Legal qualification or professional certification in contract management (eg, IACCM/WorldCC).
- Desirable: Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) membership or a willingness to work towards membership.
- Essential: Extensive experience in IT and/or ERP contract management.

You will
Phase One - An initial three-month assignment focused on developing and writing the contract specification.
Phase Two - The subsequent implementation phase is expected to last approximately 16 months. This phase will involve contract management. While this may be recruited as a separate role, the Council would consider extending the brief for the right candidate, subject to relevant skills and experience.
