Procurement & Contract Manager for a major offshore wind project in The United Kingdom

Responsibilities

Work within the procurement function for the project as a member of the Procurement Team, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager. Responsible for providing a comprehensive procurement service to deliver the SMA. Managing the negotiation of the SMA contract for the WTG package in consultation with the wider project team and TTE's SMA Team in accordance with best-value and approved procedures. The Call for Tender (CfT) is in progress and the main responsibilities of the Procurement & Contract Manager is as follows:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and a proven track record in managing procurement activities from identification of requirements through to contract award. With knowledge and experience in the offshore wind market and specific experience of negotiating and / or managing a SMA. This could be working for a developer or a WTG Original Equipment Manufacturer.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and be a team player at all levels both within the project and with suppliers.
  • Proven ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbally.
  • A strong results focus supported by relevant commercial skills and knowledge required to deliver value to the project, specifically to develop the SAA and OSA agreements.
  • A proven ability to lead and conduct successful commercial negotiations with WTG OEMs in the arena of SMAs.
