Summary: The Procurement Consultant Interim role involves establishing a new Procurement department within an organization dedicated to supporting families in challenging circumstances. The consultant will lead the discovery phase, implement best practices, and ensure effective supplier management while also preparing for the transition to permanent resources. The position requires strategic guidance and operational procurement management in a greenfield environment. The role is expected to last between 3 to 6 months, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up a greenfield/brownfield Procurement department.
- Conduct a discovery phase to collate data and assess the current procurement state.
- Implement best practices in procurement processes, documents, and policies.
- Ensure adequate controls are in place to meet company goals and objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships throughout the procurement process.
- Support the transition to permanent resources for ongoing operations.
- Provide strategic guidance and manage end-to-end procurements.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a greenfield environment with strategic controls implementation.
- Ability to lead a procurement department as the sole expert.
- Senior management stakeholder experience with a track record of meeting objectives.
- Recent relevant experience in end-to-end procurements, particularly in the indirect space.
- CIPS/MCIPS qualification preferred but not mandatory.
