Summary: The Procurement Commercial Process Expert role at Mars Global Services in Slough focuses on leading the digital transformation of consulting and contingent labour procurement processes across Europe. This position is integral to the broader global commercial process strategy and aims to enhance efficiency through standardization and effective tool implementation. The expert will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of procurement systems and processes. Additionally, the role involves analyzing data to drive continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the regional deployment of Source-to-Receipt (S2R) processes for consulting and contingent labour procurement.
- Translate local needs into global design improvements and promote standardisation.
- Champion the implementation of orchestration/intake tools to improve request-to-contract workflows.
- Collaborate with Digital Technologies and Procurement Systems teams for effective tool configuration and adoption.
- Support integration with sourcing platforms such as Ariba and Coupa.
- Analyze data from stakeholders and systems to generate insights and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Apply deep category knowledge to tailor procurement workflows and drive supplier performance and compliance.
- Influence and engage stakeholders across functions including Finance, Internal Audit, and Digital.
- Launch and scale pilots for orchestration tools and develop scalable playbooks.
- Monitor KPIs and adoption metrics to ensure long-term success and impact.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing for consulting and contingent labour categories.
- Proven track record in leading procurement process and digital transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration/intake tools (Zip, Tonkean, Oro – highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end S2R processes and procurement systems (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow).
- Excellent analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with vendor management systems (VMS) and contract management platforms.
