Summary: The Procurement Business Partner role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in London, focusing on supplier contracting, compliance, and performance management across a major UK contract. The position requires a commercially driven procurement professional to bridge the gap between Supply Chain & Procurement, Legal, and operational teams, ensuring effective governance and supplier solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the implementation of robust, compliant supplier contracts across the UK
- Managing full contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, and implementation
- Ensuring all supplier agreements include appropriate flow-down clauses and meet compliance and assurance standards
- Acting as the key link between Procurement, Legal, and Operational teams to keep delivery aligned and on track
- Supporting operational teams to ensure scopes of work meet technical and client expectations
- Driving contract management and risk mitigation, reducing commercial and operational exposure
- Ensuring supplier governance is in place, including KPIs, SPIs, and reporting frameworks
- Managing supplier relationships and representing the central procurement function across multiple workstreams
Key Skills:
- 5+ years’ procurement experience, with strong contracting expertise
- Proven experience in contract writing, negotiation, and supplier management
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on risk mitigation and governance
- Ability to work at pace and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Confident communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- CIPS, MBA, or degree-level education (preferred)
- Public sector experience (advantageous)
