Summary: The Procurement Analyst - Indirect role involves analyzing purchasing trends and optimizing procurement strategies within a global manufacturing business. The position focuses on providing data insights to support strategic decision-making and improve supply chain efficiency. Key responsibilities include maintaining supplier databases, developing reports, and collaborating with various teams to enhance procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain an accurate and efficient supplier database
- Provide essential procurement data and KPIs to buyers, third-party partners, and suppliers
- Work closely with Finance to ensure regular data extractions from ERP to BI tools
- Lead a project to align Indirect Spend Categorisation across all plants
- Develop and maintain reports for key KPIs (savings, supplier count, payment terms, etc.)
- Analyse procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support procurement strategies
- Build reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions to drive decision-making
- Collaborate with the SAP project team to establish standardised reports for Indirect Procurement
- Train the procurement team on key reports and data analysis tools
Key Skills:
- Background in supplier management or procurement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, BI tools, and data analysis
- SAP experience is highly desirable
- Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with internal teams and external suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic project management skills are a plus
- Flexible, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
