Archer Mac is supporting a public sector organisation in Leeds with the appointment of a Procurement Advisor, joining a small, established contracts and procurement team. This is a 9-12 month fixed-term opportunity, with 1 or 2 days a week in Leeds.
You'll provide day-to-day advice and guidance to colleagues across the business on contracting and procurement matters, helping ensure tenders and contracts are run compliantly and efficiently. The role covers preparing tender documentation, supporting contract negotiations, maintaining contract and procurement records, and helping develop internal policies and processes, with plenty of variety and regular contact with people at all levels of the organisation.
We're looking for someone with a good understanding of public procurement rules and processes, comfortable working with purchase-to-pay systems, and confident producing clear, accurate documentation under time pressure. Experience supporting contract management or tenders in a public sector or regulated environment would be an advantage, as would familiarity with e-sourcing or P2P platforms. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently are essential.
