Summary: The Procure to Pay Support Officer role involves providing professional and administrative support for the Procure to Pay process within the Council. The position requires collaboration with various teams to enhance procurement and payment activities while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The officer will also focus on customer service and continuous improvement in service delivery. This is a hybrid role based in Ealing, requiring one day a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the overall Procure to Pay Process across the Council.
  • Work with the Accounts Payable and Document Intake Manager and other teams to deliver best practices.
  • Contribute to stakeholder groups and consultation processes to improve ways of working.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and schemes.
  • Log and respond to enquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Use data analysis skills to identify patterns and trends in reported issues.
  • Monitor compliance and performance against KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate information in the Council's financial system.
  • Assist in training internal users on the financial system and Procure to Pay Life Cycle.
  • Manage workload to achieve high levels of customer service and meet performance targets.
  • Promote continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Comply with GDPR principles and the Council's equalities standards.

Key Skills:

  • Accounts payable experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
  • Experience with local authority/public sector finance systems.
  • Customer-focused approach.

Salary (Rate): 24.39
