Summary: The role of Process Engineer involves managing and delivering engineering and technical activities within a leading nuclear design consultancy in Warrington. The position is contract-based and requires candidates to be inside IR35, with a focus on mentoring junior engineers and shaping project direction through technical expertise. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility while maintaining team connections. Candidates will be expected to produce technical documentation and support project phases with their engineering knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver engineering and technical activities.
  • Produce calculations, analyses, drawings, models, and technical reports.
  • Supervise trainee staff and designers.
  • Develop Technical Scopes of Work.
  • Provide ongoing technical support throughout project phases.
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices across the team.

Key Skills:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in process engineering.
  • Membership of a relevant institute or capability of registration with the Engineering Council.
  • Experience managing small teams and delivering analysis activities on various project types.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with other disciplines.
  • Desirable: Experience managing engineering scope for projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).
  • Broad experience in nuclear, commercial, or defence projects.
