Summary: The Process Engineering Technician 2 role is focused on supporting lab operations in La Jolla, CA, through executing defined laboratory tasks and contributing to scientific workflows. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute well-defined laboratory tasks under supervision
- Perform low-complexity data collection and hands-on lab work
- Follow written instructions, SOPs, and guidance from supervisors
- Support troubleshooting efforts and escalate issues appropriately
- Maintain lab supply levels and assist with equipment upkeep
- Utilize project collaboration tools and shared digital environments
- Communicate observations, technical findings, and task progress to supervisors and team members
- Establish working relationships with immediate project team
- Seek clarification when instructions or expectations are unclear
- Understand internal customer needs and align work accordingly
Key Skills:
- Basic knowledge within biology, biotechnology, or engineering discipline
- Familiarity with common laboratory techniques and workflows
- Exposure to wet-lab procedures, production environments, or testing labs
- Awareness of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Awareness of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction sets accurately
