Summary: The Process Engineering Consultant - Installation role involves providing process engineering support for a Chemical Facility in Cheshire, focusing on chemical bulk processing equipment. The consultant will lead the engineering efforts from concept design through to commissioning, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. The position requires collaboration with contractors and stakeholders to develop design specifications and documentation. Proven experience in the petrochemical industry and a degree in Chemical Engineering are essential for this contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working on the project’s process elements, particularly focusing on Chemical bulk processing equipment.
- Leading process engineering of the project from Concept Design to Commissioning stages.
- Developing design specifications and P&IDs.
- Writing and reviewing URS documents, SOP documents, and other design documentation relevant to the process elements of the projects.
- Working with and challenging the principle contractor in the project design and equipment selection.
- Acting as a client representative in meetings and discussions with third party vendors.
- Working alongside third party contractors and offering input into process design and installation.
- Ensuring that Quality, Health and Safety processes are adhered to in all aspects of role.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a process engineer on multiple installation projects & plant support roles in the petrochemical industry.
- Knowledge of standard industry practices, procedures and safety measures, including a deep understanding of process safety practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to challenge and work with other technical engineers and project stakeholders.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering.
