Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers in the Trim and Final area, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Develop and implement department strategy for power tooling, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Implement efficient manufacturing processes for Trim and Final operations, ensuring quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules are met.
  • Work with PFC, PFMEA, Control Plan, Check sheets, and SOP preparations.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to optimize product design for manufacturability.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and capacity planning for new product introductions and process improvements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, mitigating potential risks in the manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate and select equipment and technologies to optimize production capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve manufacturing issues in Trim and Final operations.
  • Support new vehicle launches with relevant process, tooling, and facilities.
  • Implement ECR/ECN with cost efficiency and sustainable process mapping.
  • Develop cost-effective solutions on Poka Yoke.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers as part of the Trim and Final area providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Develop & implement department strategy for power tooling, working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes for Trim and Final operations, ensuring quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules are met.
  • Working Knowledge about PFC, PFMEA, Control Plan and Check sheet along with SOP’s preparations.
  • Working knowledge about EBOM and MBOM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality to optimize product design for manufacturability and resolve any manufacturing issues.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses & capacity planning to support new product introductions & process improvements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety & regulatory standards, identifying & mitigating potential risks in the manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate and select equipment, tools, and technologies to optimize production capabilities and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve any manufacturing issues or bottlenecks in Trim and Final operations.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and collaboration within the manufacturing engineering team.
