Summary: The Process Engineer role at Masimo Consumer involves providing exceptional service and support to the Production and Production Engineering departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for data collection, analysis, and collation of reports to the business.
- Provide technical instruction and key process knowledge to engineering team members and production operatives.
- Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by providing sample products to R&D.
- Contribute to the annual preparation of departmental budget and CAPEX.
- Develop new or modified process formulations, including lean principles and single piece flow.
- Define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications.
- Review processes, techniques, and methods applied in manufacture and evaluation of products.
- Work with production management and quality teams to develop production techniques and processes.
- Compile and evaluate test data for process specification limits and variables.
- Plan and run projects involving new concepts and equipment automation technology.
- Research and recommend new production technologies for quality and productivity improvements.
- Map, document, and maintain all production process documentation.
- Identify and introduce best practices, structured problem solving, and root cause analysis.
- Support and participate in all New Product Introduction (NPI) for the Worthing manufacturing plant.
- Adhere to and constructively challenge departmental processes in accordance with ISO 9001 2015.
Key Skills:
- HNC/D or equivalent in an appropriate technical discipline.
- 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in designing, installing, and optimizing manufacturing cells/units.
- Statistical Process Control knowledge.
- Good technical English.
- Demonstrated competence as a change agent.
- Time management and problem-solving skills.

12 month contract Position summary / Main purpose of the role: The engineer must provide excellent service and support to both the Production and Production Engineering departments. This role requires both technical aptitude and good behavioural attitude to their work and customer base. Key objectives to contribute to Develop, Maintain and Improve B&W product and process to optimize Quality, Delivery, and Cost will include:
- Responsible for data collection, analysis, and collation of reports to the business.
- Responsible for the technical instruction and imparting of key process and product knowledge to engineering team members and production operatives, so as to mitigate departmental and business risk.
- Provision of sample products to R&D as required to support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, as part of the management and delivery of the product lifecycle for the business.
- Actively contribute to the annual preparation of departmental budget, and CAPEX, including collation of data and justification to the business.
Essential Responsibilities: As part of on-going development, the engineer has personal responsibility and accountability for self-learning and development, supported by appropriate training and qualifications, identified, and offered by the business. This is to ensure a sound grasp of fundamental engineering principles and development of key skills. As directed by the Production Engineering Manager and Senior Process Engineer. Develops new or modified process formulations, including lean principles and single piece flow. Defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications to ensure that factory capacity is available both on time and cost effectively. To review processes, techniques and methods applied in manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step of the process from concept to full-scale manufacturing. Work with both the production management and quality teams to ensure the develop production techniques, and processes to address quality issues. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limit and variables for process specification. Plan and run projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology for new or improved processes. To get involved with both the product creation team and Worthing manufacturing regarding new products and engineering or design changes to existing products. To actively research and where appropriate recommend new production technologies to ensure best possible quality, productivity, and costs. To map, document and maintain all production process documentation. To identify and introduce best practice, structured problem solving and root cause analysis. Support and participate with all New Product Introduction (NPI) for the Worthing manufacturing plant, to include new technology installation and testing, training operators and engineers, collecting data and reporting results to the business.
