Summary: The Process Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing and industrial processes to enhance efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyse production data and process performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process control strategies to maintain product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to improve process effectiveness.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on process improvements.
  • Lead or assist in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering (or related field).
  • Proven experience in a process engineering or manufacturing role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in process simulation and modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, Aspen HYSYS).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
