Summary: The Process Engineer role is a 12-month contract position based in the West Midlands, focusing on applying Lean Manufacturing and Design principles within an automotive OEM environment. The engineer will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes and ensuring designs meet assembly requirements. Candidates must have relevant experience in manufacturing and engineering processes, along with problem-solving skills. The position is classified as inside IR35, with a pay rate of £27.21 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles.
- Attend programme meetings at all levels and present where applicable.
- Feasibility of designs to suit build requirements - Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Build process strategy for manufacturing.
- Planning, developing and implementation of all written Processes for manufacturing.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of and involvement in the product development phase.
- Understanding of IPS requirements & Lean Manufacturing.
- Relevant previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes.
- Experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving.
- Ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment.
