Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong manufacturing and process development background who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, working collaboratively across functions and delivering robust, safe and capable production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new manufacturing processes in line with engineering plans, budgets and customer requirements.
- Take manufacturing processes from concept and development through commissioning and qualification.
- Provide process engineering expertise across multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Identify, manage and maintain process technical requirements.
- Support system integration and ensure manufacturing processes are robust, reliable and fit for purpose.
- Develop and maintain process controls, including Lean principles, Process Control Plans and PFMEAs.
- Support process capability studies and the use of statistical techniques to establish and maintain stable production processes.
- Specify, develop and qualify new manufacturing equipment in collaboration with suppliers and engineering teams.
Key Skills
- HNC, HND, degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience within manufacturing, process engineering or a related engineering environment.
- Demonstrable experience developing and improving manufacturing processes.
- An understanding of project and risk management principles and associated tools and techniques.
- Awareness of automated manufacturing controls and process-line technologies.
- A good understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
