Summary: The Process Engineer role involves the development and management of manufacturing processes from concept to commissioning, requiring a strong background in process development and system integration. The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact for process-related queries and will support continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with industry standards, managing project data, and collaborating with engineering teams and suppliers. The position also emphasizes safety and adherence to health and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new manufacturing processes in line with Engineering Plans and Budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standard controls for long-term process stability.
  • Specify and qualify new equipment, ensuring regulatory and safety standards are met.
  • Coordinate development activities to establish supporting data for manufacturing processes.
  • Manage project data files capturing process and design information.
  • Work with engineering personnel to develop a network of capable suppliers.
  • Lead and support project activities, including process reviews and capability studies.
  • Present process status to line management and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed of manufacturing technologies and assist in future technology plans.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, health, and environment (SHE).

Key Skills:

  • Good knowledge of statistical techniques for measuring process capability.
  • Understanding of project/risk management tools and techniques.
  • Aware of automated controls on process lines.
  • Strong technical and manufacturing base with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with good planning and organizational skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in materials processing and manufacturing in a High Hazard environment (desirable).
  • IOSH Managing Safety / NEBOSH Certificate (desirable).
  • Green Belt Six Sigma (desirable).
