Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a leading global manufacturer, who is seeking a Process Engineer (contract) to join their team. The company is looking for a Process Engineer (contract) to lead production process improvement efforts, including process definition, routing, takt time planning, and line balancing. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production flows, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), and ensuring that production resources meet both quality and cost objectives.As the Process Engineer (contract) you will:Participate in NPI project meetings to assess production impacts and plan accordingly.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce production costs.Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure the right materials are sourced at optimal quality and cost.Work with suppliers to ensure that all components meet required specifications and quality standards.Partner with the Site Production Manager to optimize production planning and ensure smooth processes.Oversee Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and manage the introduction or phase-out of materials and processes.To be considered for the Process Engineer (contract) role:Proven experience as a Process Engineer, ideally with a background in electrical/electronic manufacturing.Strong understanding of PCBA and box build processes, including managing production test equipment.Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs).Expertise in line balancing, process flow analysis, and takt time planning, with experience in 5S methodology.Strong background in VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) to improve processes and purchasing.Demonstrated problem-solving skills with tools such as RA, CA, 5Y, and 8D.For more information, please contact Katy Emmott.
