Privacy & Records Management Lead (9 months)

Summary: The Privacy & Records Management Lead will play a crucial role in overseeing compliance with the Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework across various business sectors within the bank. This position involves influencing senior leaders on risk management and policy compliance while managing stakeholder relationships globally. The role requires a commitment to integrity and the ability to lead a team effectively over a nine-month period. The successful candidate will develop and implement control plans to enhance privacy and client confidentiality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee compliance under the Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework across multiple business sectors.
• Act as the primary interface between Digital X Controls and various business units.
• Develop and deploy Privacy & Client Confidentiality control plans.
• Manage and lead the first line of defence on Privacy issues.
• Lead divisional stakeholder relationships with Legal and Compliance, Risk, and Audit.
• Drive effective governance and decision-making for Digital X ExCo members.
• Support the CAO on the P&CC agenda to maintain a satisfactory control environment.
• Lead, develop, and manage a professional team to meet business needs.

Key Skills:

• Experience with UK and wider privacy law, regulations, and practice (UK GDPR, GDPR, PECR).
• Ability to resolve complex problems and identify alternative approaches.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and privacy by design principles.
• Working knowledge of privacy and records management services in financial services.
• Experience managing a team and handling a variety of privacy issues.
• Ability to work with abstract and complex requirements.
• Good controls industry knowledge applicable to privacy and records management.
• Experience supporting the delivery of issues, projects, and initiatives.
