Summary: The Principal Systems Engineer role in Luton involves supporting the development of systems for Typhoon Defensive Aids Systems. The position requires engaging with stakeholders to define requirements, conducting evaluations of proposed solutions, and integrating new functionalities into existing systems. The engineer will also be responsible for creating test plans and managing documentation to support design reviews. This role demands strong interpersonal skills and the ability to obtain SC Clearance for UK-caveated programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with stakeholders, defining requirements for a new system
- Conducting cost and functional performance trade-offs and evaluation of proposed solutions
- Designing and integrating new functionality into an existing system
- Modelling a system to understand observed simulated performance
- Development of capability within limitations and constraints of the target hardware
- Creation of Test Plans and Requirements for Verification and Validation of sub-systems
- Creation of Integration Plans for unit integration into the full system
- Technical Discussions with suppliers and customers
- Document management to support design review activities
