They are looking for an exceptional Principal/Senior Java Developer to join a high-calibre engineering environment, working alongside some of the industry's strongest developers, architects and technical leaders.
You will be expected to
- Design and develop high-performance server-side Java applications
- Work across both greenfield and complex brownfield environments
- Take ownership of significant technical challenges and drive solutions through to completion
- Collaborate with highly experienced engineers, architects and product specialists
- Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Work effectively within fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Contribute to architectural and technical decision-making
- Optimise systems for scalability, reliability and performance
- Mentor and support other engineers where appropriate
- Engage directly with stakeholders and contribute to delivering business-critical technology
Technical Skills: Essential
- Strong commercial experience with Java
- Extensive experience developing server-side Java applications
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience working on complex, high-scale systems
- Strong understanding of application architecture and design
- Linux experience
Post-trade experience is highly desirable: The ideal candidate will have worked on systems supporting areas such as:
- Trade capture and processing
- Trade lifecycle management
- Confirmation and settlement
