The position is primarily home-based with monthly office attendance in Salford, and it offers a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanence. Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and negotiating draft contracts for the health category area.
- Leading and managing a team of Category Managers and Buyers.
- Pursuing procurement excellence through efficient and effective procurement projects.
- Analyzing data to identify cost savings and operational improvements.
- Supporting the Senior Category Manager in managing key areas of improvement.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of health markets and their supply chains.
- Experience in UK public sector procurement and UK PCR2015.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerBI) and e-Procurement platforms (SAP Ariba).
- CIPS Level 5 Diploma in Procurement and Supply Operations or working towards it.
- Experience in leading a team and line management.
