Summary: We are seeking an experienced Principal Process Engineer to support major water sector projects across the UK, focusing on wastewater treatment, clean water treatment, and sludge processing. This role offers an opportunity to join a leading engineering team and contribute to significant infrastructure projects. The position requires a strong background in process engineering and a commitment to mentoring junior engineers. The working arrangement is hybrid, allowing flexibility in location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver process engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Produce and review P&IDs, Control Philosophies and equipment sizing calculations.
- Undertake feasibility studies, risk assessments and process optimisation activities.
- Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design.
- Engage with clients, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence.
Key Skills:
- Degree qualified in Chemical, Environmental or Process Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years' experience within the UK water sector.
- Strong experience in wastewater treatment, clean water treatment and sludge processing.
- Proven experience producing and checking P&IDs, Control Philosophies and process calculations.
- Strong understanding of UK water industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
