We are looking for an experienced Principal Network Engineer (Security) to join a Cisco Gold Partner for a key project role with a fast-growing Alt-net broadband provider. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in Cisco network solutions and leadership skills.

• Location: Central London, Liverpool Street
• Duration: 3-6 months
• Day Rate: 500 - 550 per day
• Work Schedule:
  • 2 nights per week of night work
  • Hybrid working format: (2 days onsite per week)
• IR35 Determination: Outside IR35
• Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver network projects independently.
• Design, implement, and migrate carrier-grade network solutions.
• Configure and manage Cisco ASR, NCS devices, and Firepower models.
• Troubleshoot network issues using packet analysis.
• Create and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and Migration Strategies.
• Work with Network Monitoring Systems (NMS).
• Collaborate with the team to implement new technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of Cisco network experience, ideally within an Alt-net broadband provider.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR and NCS devices.
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF/ISIS, Segment Routing, Multicast, IPv6, MPLS, and MPLS VPNs.
• 5+ years experience with Cisco Firepower models 2130, 4112, and 1140.
• Proficient with NMS tools (eg, SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
• CCIE certification is required; Cisco security certification is a plus.
