Summary: The Principal Network Engineer will be responsible for the technical ownership of the customer's security infrastructure, including documentation and lifecycle management. This role serves as the senior technical point of reference for security-related projects and incidents, providing design support for customer networks and managing change processes. The position requires expertise in various security technologies and networking solutions, particularly with vendors like Checkpoint, Juniper, and Cisco.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical ownership of the customer's security infrastructure estate, processes, procedures, documentation, and lifecycle management.
- Senior technical point of reference for all security-related projects and changes to firewall rule bases.
- Interface with vendor support for all incidents related to the security infrastructure.
- Design customer networks, including support for high-level and low-level designs.
- Provide technical support and change management for physical and remote changes.
- Manage customer inventory, including hardware, software, and end-of-life (EOL) considerations.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Checkpoint, Juniper, Bluecoat, F5, and Cisco networking solutions.
- Knowledge of major switching families and wireless technologies.
- Understanding of Cisco IPT, QoS, 802.1x, Inflobox DNS, and VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN, DMVPN).
- Familiarity with wide area network technologies and routing protocols.
