Principal Network Engineer - Evansville, IN

Summary: We are looking for a Principal Network Engineer to oversee enterprise network architecture and cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments. The role requires extensive experience in network reliability, automation, and troubleshooting within large-scale enterprise settings. The ideal candidate will lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers while ensuring robust network documentation. This position involves a combination of design, management, and support responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and support enterprise network infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Hybrid Cloud.
• Manage DNS, GSLB, Load Balancing, and High Availability solutions.
• Develop automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshoot complex Layer 3 to 7 networking issues using Wireshark and HAR files.
• Manage secrets using HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, and AWS Secrets Manager.
• Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and maintain network documentation.
• Participate in secondary 24x7 on-call support.

Key Skills:

• 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and Hybrid Cloud Networking.
• Expertise in DNS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, GSLB, ECMP, VRRP, HSRP, SD-WAN, MPLS.
• Experience with AWS Transit Gateway, Azure VWAN, VPNs, and cloud networking.
• Kubernetes networking (EKS, AKS, OpenShift).
• Automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions, GitOps.
• Experience with Wireshark, HAR analysis, and Linux.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
