Responsibilities
- Deliver instrumentation and control engineering throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Lead technical resources and coordinate discipline outputs.
- Produce, check and approve engineering documentation.
- Specify and design Safety Instrumented Systems.
- Manage interfaces between engineering and project-delivery teams.
- Monitor budgets, resources, progress, risks and changes.
- Mentor engineers and support their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations, standards and project procedures.
Requirements
- Extensive instrumentation and control design experience in water, process, energy or another regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61511 and IEC 61508.
- Experience of process plants and potentially explosive environments.
- Knowledge of ATEX, PED, machinery, low-voltage and EMC requirements.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered or Incorporated status is strongly preferred.
- Proven technical leadership, checking and approval experience.
- Strong stakeholder-management and reporting skills.
