Summary: The Principal Instrument Designer role is a contract position based in Surrey, requiring immediate availability for an initial duration of 2 months. The candidate will support offshore projects in the oil and gas industry, focusing on instrumentation and telecommunication engineering deliverables. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Designer.
- Adhere to company and project standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Prepare various Instrumentation and Telecommunication engineering deliverables, such as block diagrams, instrument indexes, location layouts, hookups, installation drawings, cable schedules, cable routing layouts, material take-offs, bills of material, and layouts for control and rack room.
Key Skills:
- Experience as a Principal Instrument Designer in the oil & gas industry.
- Offshore project experience.
- 2D experience and ability to develop wiring/termination diagrams.
- Experience in developing drawings in AutoCAD.
Salary (Rate): £45.00 per hour

PRINCIPAL INSTRUMENT DESIGNER - CONTRACT – SURREY
Your Client is seeking a Principal Instrument Designer for an initial 2 month contract role that has an immediate start.

EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must have:
- Experience working as a Principal Instrument Designer in the oil & gas industry
- Offshore project experience, as this role is supporting an offshore compression platform
- 2D experience and the ability to develop wiring/ termination diagrams.
- Experience in developing drawings in AutoCAD
- Experience of the job scope below
JOB SCOPE:
This role involves preparing various Instrumentation and Telecommunication engineering deliverables, such as block diagrams, instrument indexes, location layouts, hookups, installation drawings, cable schedules, cable routing layouts, material take-offs, bills of material, and layouts for control and rack room.

- Support the Lead Designer.

DURATION: 2+ months initially
LOCATION: The role will be based on 5 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Surrey. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.
RATE: £45.00 per hour Ltd co rate If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
