Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production of residential development schemes including highways, drainage, levels, and plot engineering.
  • Manage and prioritize project workload for junior team members.
  • Design using relevant best practices and guidance such as Manual for Streets and Building Regulations.
  • Prepare drawings and calculations for both private and adoptable arrangements.
  • Obtain technical approval from key authorities regarding S104 and S38 section agreements.
  • Manage non-technical project aspects including contract management, financials, and resourcing.
  • Engage in client-facing roles and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and drainage modelling software.

Key Skills:

  • BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or related degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE).
  • Experience in leading major projects and teams.
  • Strong technical design skills and understanding of Civil Engineering best practices.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software (e.g., Civils3D).
  • Experience with drainage modelling software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
  • Effective organizational and communication skills.
  • Full driving license and access to a car.
