Summary: The Principal Infrastructure/Civil Engineer role in Bristol involves leading projects and teams within an expanding Infrastructure Engineering team. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of residential development schemes including highways, drainage, levels, and plot engineering.
- Manage and prioritize project workload for junior team members.
- Design using relevant best practices and guidance such as Manual for Streets and Building Regulations.
- Prepare drawings and calculations for both private and adoptable arrangements.
- Obtain technical approval from key authorities regarding S104 and S38 section agreements.
- Manage non-technical project aspects including contract management, financials, and resourcing.
- Engage in client-facing roles and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and drainage modelling software.
Key Skills:
- BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or related degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE).
- Experience in leading major projects and teams.
- Strong technical design skills and understanding of Civil Engineering best practices.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software (e.g., Civils3D).
- Experience with drainage modelling software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
- Effective organizational and communication skills.
- Full driving license and access to a car.
