Principal HVAC Engineer

Summary: The Principal HVAC Engineer will serve as the primary contact for HVAC-related issues at the client's site in Stockton-on-Tees, overseeing various aspects of HVAC during manufacture, construction, and commissioning. This role involves managing technical queries, change requests, and ensuring compliance with design intent while collaborating with multiple engineering and construction teams. The engineer will also maintain design documentation and advise on installation methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the site-based focal point for HVAC issues during manufacture, construction, and commissioning.
• Review and respond to site-generated and supplier technical queries, concession requests, and commissioning reservations.
• Manage HVAC instructed changes on-site or through the Responsible Designer.
• Oversee drawing configuration for HVAC deliverables through the redline process.
• Interface with Design Lead Engineers, Package Managers, Section Engineers, Quality, Commissioning, and Handover teams.
• Maintain the configured HVAC design and advise on installation methods and constructability.
• Participate in constructability design reviews and act as custodian of design and engineering documentation on site.
