Summary: The Principal Electrical Design Engineer role is focused on candidates with over 10 years of experience in electrical design within the building services industry, specifically in the Nuclear sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing electrical systems within the building services industry, particularly in the Nuclear sector.
- Mentoring and overseeing a small design team to ensure accuracy and timely project delivery.
- Utilizing design software such as AutoCAD, AMTECH, Dialux, Relux, and Aveva 3D.
- Designing HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, fire detection systems, and emergency shutdown systems.
- Ensuring compliance with security clearance requirements (BPSS or SC clearance).
Key Skills:
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards).
- 10-15+ years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
- 5+ years of experience in the Nuclear industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, AMTECH, Dialux, Relux, and Aveva 3D.
- Experience in designing HVAC and fire safety systems.
- Ability to mentor and lead a design team.
- UK passport and existing SC or DV clearance preferred.

- 5+ years working within the Nuclear industry
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, AMTECH, Dialux, Relux, Aveva 3D
- Experience in the design of HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, fire detection systems, emergency shutdown systems or building services designs
- Experience mentoring and overseeing a small design team to ensure designs are accurate and projects delivered on time
- This is a role within the Nuclear industry so you will be required to hold BPSS or SC clearance to start this position. The ideal candidate will need to hold a UK passport.
- The ideal candidate will already hold SC or DV clearance.
