Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective management of multi-discipline teams for timely delivery of engineering work.

- Promote effective cooperation across engineering and functional teams.
- Manage customer relationships and develop business opportunities.
- Produce, review, verify, and approve technical outputs including calculations and reports.
- Ensure adherence to procedures, codes, and standards in engineering activities.
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and promote a culture of engineering excellence.
- Support business development opportunities.
- Plan and organize resources effectively to meet customer commitments.
Key Skills:
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with significant experience.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience in managing teams for analysis activities.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks across different complexities.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with other disciplines.
- Membership in a relevant institute or significant engineering experience.

Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for Principal EC&I Engineers to be located in the Warrington or Preston areas on a long-term contract basis inside IR35 (Hybrid working available).
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective management of multi discipline teams to ensure timely & efficient delivery of engineering work to meet customer agreed scope
- Supervise engineers/technical specialists
- Promote effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teams
- Ensure effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business.
- Produce, review, verify and approve outputs including: calculations, analyses, technical reports, technical specifications and method statements
- Ensure that procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities
- Maintain knowledge of Industry best practice, promote a culture of engineering best practice, provide leadership and assist in driving cultural development and change
- Support business development opportunities.
- Leading Resources: Responsible for effective planning and organisation of resources to deliver on customer promises
Experience/Qualifications/Skills
Essential:
- Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
- Chartered Engineer status
- Demonstrable experience in managing teams to deliver analysis activities
- Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
Desirable:
- Member of relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council
