Principal Design Engineer

Summary

• Duration: 6 months with potential for extension or made permanent

• Pay Rate: £60.00 per hour via Umbrella
• Hours: 37 hours per week - Hybrid Working after training has completed

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concept development and design of high-performance motors and controllers.
• Drive engineering design excellence and ensure adherence to design assurance processes.
• Support independent design assurance activities, including design reviews and engineering document approvals.
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain the technical integrity of products.
• Facilitate the resolution of issues using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams, promoting best practises and continuous improvement.

• Proven leadership in building successful design engineering teams.
• Strong background in delivering rapid prototype concept designs and flight-standard high-tech products.
• Aerospace experience with substantial responsibility.
• Familiarity with design assurance processes and airworthiness requirements.
• Understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing methods.
• Proficient in configuration control management and effective communication.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations to diverse audiences.
