Summary: We are seeking a qualified Principal Design Engineer with Active SC clearance to support a key nuclear project in Manchester. The role involves reviewing electrical drawings, ensuring documentation accuracy, and assessing system drawings for alignment with installations. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and filter electrical drawings across two document/record systems
- Identify and transfer accurate records to AO (authoritative document system)
- Assess 132kV/11kV system drawings for alignment with current installations
- Support design assurance and documentation accuracy
Key Skills:
- Active Security Clearance (SC)
- Professionally registered (IEng or CEng)
- Experience with design and implementation of 132kV and 11kV substations
- 'Person' status for access to Gridyards/Substations
- Willingness to undertake site-specific security and safety training near Chester

We are currently looking for qualified Principal Design Engineer with Active SC to support a key nuclear project with a leading client of ours in the Defence/Nuclear sector. They are a leading infrastructure solutions provider driving innovation across transportation, energy, water, and defence sectors. They are renowned for delivering complex, high-impact projects that support national sustainability and economic growth goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and filter electrical drawings across two document/record systems
- Identify and transfer accurate records to AO (authoritative document system)
- Assess 132kV/11kV system drawings for alignment with current installations
- Support design assurance and documentation accuracy
Essential Criteria:
- Active Security Clearance (SC).
- Professionally registered (IEng or CEng).
- Experience with design and implementation of 132kV and 11kV substations.
