Principal Consultant (AWS Backup, Terraform & Cyber Resilience) - £1025 per day Umbrella - LONDON

Role Purpose

Senior enterprise authority responsible for AWS backup strategy, cyber resilience, and Terraform-led infrastructure automation.

Focus on centralised AWS backup architectures and NIST-aligned security frameworks across enterprise environments.

Accountabilities

• Define AWS backup and disaster recovery strategies across multi-account environments.
• Establish centralised backup architectures with cross-account and cross-region governance.
• Align solutions to NIST Cybersecurity Framework and disaster recovery standards.
• Lead Terraform adoption and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Act as Design Authority for complex and regulated environments.
• Provide delivery leadership across discovery, design, build, and optimisation stages.

Skills & Experience

• Deep AWS Backup and disaster recovery expertise.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, DynamoDB).
• Knowledge of AWS Organisations and Control Tower.
• Strong understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Enterprise stakeholder engagement and consultancy leadership.

Certifications

• AWS Solutions Architect - Professional
• AWS Security - Specialty
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate
• CISSP or CISM (desirable)
