Summary: This role is a fixed-term position for 12 months, covering maternity leave within the Community Adult Mental Health Teams in Northampton. The Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist will be part of the leadership team, supervising other psychologists and contributing to service development while providing clinical support for individuals with severe mental health difficulties. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and a focus on innovative practices in mental health care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and line manage psychology staff within the Community Adult Mental Health Teams.
- Conduct clinical work with individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
- Take a leadership role in developing innovative practices and contributing to service development.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the vision for the service.
- Work alongside other Principal Psychologists in both South and North CMHTs.
Key Skills:
- Clinical psychology doctorate or equivalent.
- Experience working with adults for 4 years or more post-qualification.
- Supervision training and experience.
- Management and leadership experience.
- Specialist knowledge in complex trauma, psychosis, and personality difficulties.
