Summary: The role of Senior Civil/Structural Engineer focuses on supporting various rail infrastructure projects, including stations and footbridges, with an emphasis on technical design and practical engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Support on a wide variety of rail infrastructure projects including stations, platforms, and footbridges.
- Prepare and check design packages for Network Rail projects.
- Provide practical and creative engineering solutions.
- Mentor and support technicians in the engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with NR standards and manage multidisciplinary interfaces.
Key Skills:
- Strong technical design skills in civil and/or structural engineering.
- Experience with relevant design software (e.g., Tekla, Microstation, CAD).
- Knowledge of NR standards and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or actively working toward it.
- Experience as (or working towards) a Contractor's Responsible Engineer.
- Ability to find practical and creative engineering solutions.
- Experience mentoring and supporting technicians.

I am looking for a Senior/Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to support on a wide variety of rail infrastructure projects including stations, platforms, Access for All footbridges, car parks and multidisciplinary framework works.
Expereince:
Strong technical design skills in civil and/or structural engineering
Ability to find practical and creative engineering solutions
Experience preparing and checking design packages on Network Rail projects
Knowledge of NR standards and multidisciplinary interfaces
Experience as (or working towards becoming) a Contractor's Responsible Engineer
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or actively working toward it (ICE or IStructE)
Experience mentoring and supporting technicians
Hands-on experience with relevant design software (eg, Tekla, Microstation or CAD)
