Salary: BR12 – BR14 (career graded post) - £41,566-£52,259 per annum

Do you have a passion for delivering high quality internal audit and assurance services which add real value to stakeholders? If so, then we would love to hear from you. London Borough of Bromley is seeking an experienced Principal Auditor to join its Audit and Assurance Service. This is a career-graded post, offering you the opportunity to develop professionally while operating at the forefront of assurance, risk and governance services. We are looking for a self-motivated, pro-active individual with a forward-looking approach to internal audit and a strong commitment to delivering a high-quality assurance alongside excellent customer service. You will have strong organisational skills, as you will be responsible for successfully managing a varied workload and delivering your own programme of complex internal audit assignments across the full range of Council services and risks, including both assurance and consultancy pieces. The ability to think critically and devise innovative solutions to complex issues is essential. Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships is a priority for us. Alongside risk-based internal audit experience, and technical expertise, the successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders. You will adopt a collaborative approach to problem-solving and deliver value adding services. You will also have a role to play in delivering wider assurance services, including risk management, counter fraud and insurance, and will have opportunities to develop your skills in these areas.
