Principal Accountant – Childrens services

Allen Lane are supporting a London Local Authority within Children’s Services to recruit an Interim Principal Accountant on a 6-month contract.

This role supports Childrens services by ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and clear reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial support and advice to Budget Holders
• Analyse budgets, expenditure, and funding within Children’s Services
• Produce clear financial reports to support decision-making

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of childrens services budgets within a Local Authority
• Experience working in Children’s Services Finance
• Confidence presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders

Hybrid working with 2 days per week on site
