Summary: Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated tutor for KS1/KS2 students, focusing on a flexible and nurturing approach to education. The role involves creating personalized learning plans to support vulnerable and disengaged students, aiming to re-engage them in their educational journey. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate patience and empathy while delivering high-quality lessons. This position is part-time and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tuition to KS1/KS2 students using a creative and nurturing approach.
  • Create and deliver personalized learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.
  • Support vulnerable, disengaged, and at-risk students in their educational journey.
  • Engage students in enjoyable lessons to re-establish their interest in education.
  • Work within the community or pupils' homes as required.

Key Skills:

  • QTS or equivalent tutoring experience.
  • UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
  • Creativity, patience, and willingness to think outside the box.
  • Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate.

Prospero teaching is currently looking for a tutor experienced in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible creative and nurturing approach. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at risk - students in the early years of their educational journey. The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.It is Prospero's mission to deliver high quality and engaging support to young people across the UK. As such, we are looking for a tutor who can offer personalized, enjoyable lessons whilst being re-engage these students into education and bring structure into their daily routine.

Contract/Position Details:

  • Location - Within the community or pupils' home
  • Position - Numeracy & Literacy Tutor

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the English, Maths and Science Tutor:

  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
