Summary: The role involves recruiting qualified primary teachers with QTS/QTLS for various positions in Suffolk, including permanent roles, contract work, and daily supply. Candidates will support local primary schools, particularly for the remainder of the summer term and into September 2025. Flexibility in teaching approach and recent experience with the UK curriculum are essential. Responsibilities include lesson planning, student supervision, and assessment of academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow the planning set by the school and adhere to their marking policy.
  • Devise lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines.
  • Encourage student participation and performance.
  • Supervise students while they complete tasks independently.
  • Set homework or exercises for students to practice their skills after class.
  • Develop and mark examinations to measure students’ progress.
  • Assess and report on students’ academic achievements and behaviour.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • At least 6 months recent experience of teaching the current UK curriculum.
  • Experience teaching across Early Years and/or Key Stage 1 and 2.

Are you a qualified primary teacher with QTS/QTLS who is looking for work?

Are you looking for work in the Suffolk area?

We can offer permanent roles, contract work and daily supply in schools in the following areas -

  • Ipswich
  • Lowestoft
  • Bury St Edmunds
  • Felixstowe
  • Haverhill
  • Sudbury
  • Stowmarket.

Strategy Education are currently recruiting Primary teachers for the remainder of this summer term as well as for September 2025. We are currently looking for Primary teachers including ECT's to support local primary schools on both a daily supply basis, as well as longer term cover including sickness and maternity leave.

You will be required to show flexibility in your approach to teaching and candidates must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least 6 months recent experience of teaching the current UK curriculum.

Requirements of the role of Primary teacher

Applicants do need to have experience of teaching across either Early Years and/or Key Stage 1 and 2. You must also have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

As a Supply Teacher it is essential that you follow the planning set by the school (unless you are asked to provide work) and ensure that you follow their marking policy at the end of the school day.
