Primary Teacher

Role: KS2 Supply Teacher (Year 5)

Rate of Pay: £150 – £210 per day (dependent on experience)

Location: Oldbury, Sandwell

About the Role

Charlotte at Connex Education is seeking a committed and experienced KS2 Supply Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Oldbury area of Sandwell.

This is a long-term supply position for the remainder of the academic year, teaching a Year 5 class. The class includes pupils with additional needs, so experience supporting children with SEND within a mainstream setting is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Effectively manage behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies
• Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff and leadership team
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress

This role would suit a confident and adaptable teacher who is passionate about raising attainment and ensuring every child achieves their potential.

Role Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable)
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream classroom
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Connex Education
