Key Responsibilities:

• Produce design drawings and technical specifications for Grid and Primary substations.
• Prepare feasibility reports, cost estimates, and layouts for substation projects.
• Review designs for technical compliance with current legislation and policies.
• Act as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for HV and EHV projects.
• Identify and manage health and safety risks associated with designs.
• Attend site meetings to support design changes during project builds.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Prepare specifications for HV and EHV substation equipment.

Key Skills:

• Minimum qualification of HNC in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in substation cable design and protection/control.
• Proven experience in HV and EHV substation design (11kV to 132kV).
• Knowledge of engineering standards and technical policies for substations.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation for electrical substations.
