Summary: Hays Healthcare is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner Band 6 for a Crisis Team in Wakefield, responsible for providing immediate support to children and young people in crisis. The role involves conducting specialist assessments and interventions, contributing to a comprehensive CAMHS system, and facilitating timely discharges from residential care. The practitioner will work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to address severe mental health issues. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely access to specialist services for children and young people in crisis.
- Support the delivery of a comprehensive CAMHS system and develop emergency assessment and outreach services.
- Conduct specialist assessments and provide intensive interventions for severe mental health problems.
- Develop care plans for children and young people presenting significant risks to themselves or others.
Key Skills:
- Relevant professional qualification (nursing, psychology, psychotherapy, family therapy, or related mental health profession).
- Experience in CAMHS preferred.
- NMC Pin.
